Encounters between humans and horses offer opportunities for regulation, awareness, and relational depth. At Congruence, the herd is not a tool — they are autonomous beings whose presence invites grounding, orientation, and greater sensory awareness. Their responses provide honest, nonverbal feedback that supports self-awareness and nervous system attunement.

Because the horses are central to this work, their well-being is foundational. Inspired by the Paddock Paradise model, the herd lives with space to roam and continuous access to forage. They are nourished with free-choice hay, herbs, and nutrient-dense whole-food support, alongside a low-sugar, low-starch diet that supports metabolic balance. All of the horses are barefoot and trimmed on individualized two- to four-week schedules to support structural integrity, soundness, and functional movement.

Care extends beyond the physical. Each horse receives bodywork and integrative support aligned with individual needs and the rhythms of the land. Our approach prioritizes predictability, low-stress handling, and nervous system stability.

All offerings at Congruence begin with an understanding of mammalian nervous system physiology — human and equine alike. This shared biological foundation allows for communication rooted in attunement, consent, and mutual regulation. By honoring the nervous system, we cultivate a field of safety and presence between species.
