Private Session —
Reiki Healing
60 minutes | In-person | Sliding scale: $90–$125
At our sanctuary in Tucson, each Reiki session is a quiet invitation back to yourself. Whether you’re carrying stress, recovering from trauma or TBI, or simply craving stillness, Reiki meets you exactly where you are—without pressure or expectation.
This gentle practice works with the nervous system, helping shift the body out of hypervigilance or shutdown and into balance. As energy flows, breath deepens, tension softens, and awareness returns to the present moment. There is nothing to force or fix; Reiki simply supports what is ready to shift.

What to expect
Reiki sessions are fully clothed, lying on a massage table, with light touch or no touch at all, depending on your preference. You may feel warmth, tingling, deep relaxation, or a sense of peace. Some people drift into sleep; others experience clarity or gentle emotional release. Each session is unique.
Sessions are held in the casita during warmer months for a cool, restful indoor setting. In cooler weather, sessions may take place on a screened porch just steps from the herd. While you won’t be inside the horses’ space, their steady presence remains part of the experience—subtle, regulating, and grounding.
Reiki & nervous system regulation
Reiki is a Japanese healing practice developed by Mikao Usui in the early 1900s to support not only physical health but also emotional and energetic well-being. Brought to the West through Hawayo Takata, Reiki has since become a widely shared practice of balance and presence.
At Congruence, Reiki is understood as a conversation with the nervous system. Through light or no-touch energy work, the body is invited out of vigilance and into safety. Breath slows, tension eases, and the body’s innate capacity for regulation emerges.
This work is especially supportive for those recovering from trauma, living with chronic stress, navigating the effects of TBI, or seeking a deeper connection with themselves. Rather than a technique applied to you, Reiki at Congruence is a shared space of co-regulation—a quiet return to wholeness and a remembering of the body’s wisdom.

Yes. Reiki can be a deeply supportive practice during hospice and end-of-life care — for both the person transitioning and their loved ones. It helps create a calm, grounded environment, gently easing physical discomfort and emotional tension. Reiki does not aim to fix or change what is unfolding, but instead offers presence, comfort, and peace as the body and spirit move through this sacred threshold. It can also help family members regulate their own nervous systems, supporting clearer presence and connection in those final days.
